This file cabinet was designed and built to match the client's existing writing table/desk (purchased from a store). Constructed of bamboo, it features two solid maple lateral file drawers, with locking drawer glides to keep the cabinet from tipping. It features both face-grain and end-grain bamboo, caramelized and with a light stain to create a soft, mellow patina. Unable to obtain more of the desk's metal handles, we recreated them in wood, stained and glazed to imitate wrought iron.
